Alex Advani has spent his consulting career applying his deep analytical experience and skills to biopharmaceutical strategy. His work includes launch strategy, site of care and account profiling, opportunity assessment, indication prioritization, and portfolio development strategy. He has deep expertise in multiple therapeutic areas such as solid tumors and hematology/oncology, genetic and rare disease, and immunology. Alex received Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Genetics, Genomics, and Systems Biology from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Biology from Duke University.

As a consultant, Amanda has focused on the therapeutic areas of oncology and rare neurological diseases. She has experience in the evolution of medical devices and development of specialty pharmacy drug programs. Amanda’s extensive analytical experience has been applied to secondary and primary research. Her previous work includes competitive assessments, development of treatment landscapes, as well as pipeline and clinical development analyses. Prior to consulting, Amanda worked as a postdoc at the University of Chicago where she developed a CRISPR pipeline for human cell culture systems. Her PhD research in cell and structural biology was performed at EMBL in Heidelberg, Germany. Amanda has earned a BS/MS in Chemistry at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken NJ.

Amy joined the LifeSci Consulting team in August 2023. Her work includes cost optimization, project management, change management, and operational transformation as well as helping clients to optimize their processes, navigate change, and manage costs. Before joining LifeSci, Amy worked at 4C Associates within the Life Sciences. During this time, she worked on process optimization, procurement excellence, and cost optimization projects for large pharmaceutical clients both in Europe and the US. Prior to her career in consulting Amy worked in in-house procurement, focusing on strategic sourcing within the marketing category. She has a degree in Biological Sciences and experience working within Research and Development and Drug Discovery.

Ana joined LifeSci Consulting as an Analyst in July 2024 after interning during the summer of 2023. Before joining LifeSci, Ana interned at Proteus by Seqens, aiding in commercializing biocatalytic processes and C4 Therapeutics, focusing on literature curation for targets such as BRAF, EGFR, and IKZF. She also interned at Triton Bio, where she conducted research and created schematic models for the parasite cryptosporidium, and at Eurofins Food Integrity and Innovation, where she assisted in researching and developing food and beverage products.
Ana graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. While at Yale, she carried out research in the Kyriakides Lab at the Yale School of Medicine and Pathology, working on TSP-2 null hydrogels for volumetric muscle loss. She was also a member of the Varsity Women's Lacrosse team and volunteered for Team Impact, a non-profit organization matching children with long-term illness or disability with college sports teams.

While there, Anna worked across a range of projects including corporate strategy design and execution, strategic transformation, market entry, commercial due diligence, post-merger integration as well as service design. Anna has diverse experience working with clients across life sciences, healthcare, energy, media and banking industries. Anna has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Supply Chain and Operations Management and Marketing, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Journalism.

Blake joined LifeSci in March 2022 with over 8 years of academic and industry research experience spanning multiple disciplines including neuroscience (aging, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and other movement disorders), cardiovascular disease, and genetics. He specialized in the use of imaging techniques (MRI, fMRI, PET) to study the mechanisms underlying degenerative age-related processes in the body. Prior to joining LifeSci, Blake received his B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2016. He next matriculated in the Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP) in the Wake Forest School of Medicine and earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2021. He then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer’s center.

Bryan joined LifeSci in June 2024 with academic and industry experience. He received his PhD in Immunology in 2021 where he researched cell therapy approaches for immune regulation in autoimmunity and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In addition, while in graduate school, he helped spun out a company (Triursus Therapeutics) from his advisor’s lab and received $2 million in NIH SBIR grant funding, co-founded an educational public biotech equity investment fund (Mythos Biotechnology Fund), and consulted for Biotech Connection Bay Area in a market assessment and customer discovery engagement. After graduating, he worked as a target discovery scientist and business development associate at 3T Biosciences, and recently as a business development manager at UC Irvine Center for Clinical Research. Bryan received his PhD from Stanford Medicine and his BS in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from UC Irvine.

Before joining LifeSci Consulting, Cassie worked at the American College of Medical Genetics reviewing genetic policies impacting healthcare in the U.S. and created an extensive database to track legislative changes at both the federal and state level. Cassie also interned with LifeSci in the summer of 2021 and the summer and fall of 2022. Cassie graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. in Biology and a double minor in Computer Science and Sociology and completed both the pre-medicine and public health tracks. During her time at Connecticut College, Cassie conducted research in the bioinformatics department which utilized a variety of software to predict and diagnose diseases through genetic screening.

Prior to Grünenthal, Cristiano held various business development, sales and marketing, strategy roles with increasing responsibility at Menarini Pharmaceuticals. Gabby is an Analyst at LifeSci Consulting. Gabby earned her B.S. in Biology at Pepperdine University. Here, she participated in clinical research in regenerative and emergency medicine. Gabby has studied the efficacy of stem cell and PRP treatments on shoulder pain, wrist pain, and lower back pain. Additionally, at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C., Gabby studied the impact of cognitive rest on prolonged concussion symptoms. She has experience in designing clinical research protocols, gathering and analyzing data, and writing scientific publications for peer review. In addition to her clinical research experience, she has experience in biological and chemical research having performed studies extracting and sequencing DNA as well as performing mass spectrometry to analyze chemical samples. Gabby also has experience in business strategy in the skincare industry, performing competitor analyses, pricing strategies, and sales forecasting. She is passionate about merging her interests in science and business strategy.

She was an intern at the San Diego-based venture Human Longevity, where she studied genetics in the context of precision healthcare. There, she worked to contribute to their goal of building the world’s most comprehensive database on human genotypes and phenotypes, which, when subjected to machine learning, are a means to develop innovative solutions to fight diseases associated with aging. Additionally, Isabelle has experience working as an investment analyst at 25Madison and Arcadian Capital where she researched and proposed various investment opportunities, led investor outreach initiatives, and produced investor-facing reports. Isabelle is excited about opportunities in the intersection of business and science where she can continue to leverage her passions and skills.

Tyler has been a member of the LifeSci Consulting team since August 2021, where he has focused on a variety of projects including competitive intelligence and commecial opportunity assessments. Prior to joining LifeSci, Tyler has worked in several different laboratories especially investigating tumor margin optimization in breast cancer lumpectomies. He was also a trained emergency medical technician (EMT) and COVID-19 contact tracer. He graduated from Bucknell University with a B.A. in Biology. During his time at Bucknell he served as a two-year captain of the Men’s Varsity Soccer Team, held positions on several campus leadership committees, and was a strong contributor to the Lewisburg community.

Vanessa joined the LifeSci Consulting team in April 2021. Her work includes asset valuation, transaction comp analyses, competitive landscape, and commercial opportunity assessments across several therapeutic areas. Prior to joining LifeSci, Vanessa worked at the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation supporting clinical research related to COVID-19. She graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health and completed the pre-medicine track. During her time at Yale, she conducted research in the Chun Lab at the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center, served as captain of the Women’s Varsity Lacrosse Team, and volunteered for a non-profit organization called Camp Kesem.
